2012 Pacific Northwest Administrator's Academy
The Administrator's Academy is an international program that brings together park and recreation professionals from Canada and the U.S. This unique opportunity allows participants spanning the entire Northwest to learn about how professionals in other organizations address unique challenges.

The Administrator's Academy is offered by the International Northwest Park and Recreation Association. The Education Director and the Board of Directors put together the outstanding educational sessions that make up the academy's core program. Each year the academy relies on its members and selected professionals to suggest topics and present educational sessions at the annual academy.

The Canadian-United States Partnership
Canada and the United States have many things in common, and a forum on the Canadian-U.S. partnership is planned. This truly is an international program with approximately one half of the participants from Canada. The interchange of ideas, the way we do business, and the fellowship between the administrators from Canada and the United States is an educational experience. .

Location
Fort Worden State Park Conference Center located in the Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend, WA Fort Worden is a full-service conference center surrounded by hundreds of acres of lawns and fields, woodland trails overlooking Puget Sound.

A former Coastal defense site, the fort retains the Victorian-style homes of Officers Row, the pillared porches of barracks row, and a large parade ground where soldiers marched in preparation for war.

Today, Fort Worden hosts groups studying natural history, creativity, community involvement, art, poetry, music, dance, crafts, and more.
